Director of Compensation, Benefits & HR Technology

Regions Hospital has an opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our team as the Director of Compensation, Benefits and HR Technology!  This position provides strategic leadership and direction to areas of compensation, benefits, HR technology and partners with other areas in HR and as a member of the HR leadership team and throughout the HealthPartners system. This role will have a matrixed reporting relationship to the Vice President of Human Resources at Regions Hospital with a dotted line to the HealthPartners system Vice President of Benefits & Compensation. The Director of Compensation, Benefits and HR Technology has 9 direct reports.

In partnership with the HealthPartners system Vice President of Compensation & Benefits, the Director is responsible for designing benefits and compensation policies, practices, tools and training. The Director is responsible for leading implementation of benefits and compensation programs and providing support for Regions Hospital, RHSC and Capitol View Transitional Care Center. This role will identify benefits and compensation needs and develop and implement strategies and implementation plans to meet those needs.  Programs are developed and implemented to control costs, are market competitive and improve efficiency to attract and retain qualified employees and follow applicable state laws and federal regulations. 


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, industrial relations, or related field or 10 additional years of equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five years of progressive professional experience in human resources, policy/procedures related to compensation and benefit programs (i.e. health, dental, retirement) and managing vendor relationships
  • Three years previous leadership experience leading small teams or projects or functioning in a team leader or senior professional-level role
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in human resources or related field
